It's music Friday!  Of course i'm gonna bring you the hottest new track!  Here comes J.Lo ft Pitbull - Dance Again. You all already know i'm a big fan of Pitbull.  So put J.Lo in the mix and i'm sold!  Anything that has a nice beat and can make me dance while listening in front of the screen is a winner.  Spring time is here and the music is pumping!

Not since the days of Lil Kim, has any female rapper broke through the roof with her unique style and lyrics. Onika Tanya Maraj, better known as the stage name Nicki Minaj, released some of her snippet tracks from her new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.  Every song, every lyric, every style, I can't get enough of her songs!

The Comeback of Boy Bands!

Boy Bands have been around for generations.  Pioneered by the style of Barbershop quartets in late 19th century, groups such as The Monkees, The Osmonds, Beatles, Jackson 5, and the Puerto Rican band Menudo have pave way to the musical boy band popular music sensation.  

My boy band era consist of acts such as Boyz II Men, The Backstreet Boys, NSync, and 98 Degrees.  Whether or not you hate the concept of "boy bands" per say, you probably contributed by listening and enjoying the music of such artist in the past. 

 

This year the new generation is making way of the return of boy bands.  The group "One Direction" debut late last year signing with Columbia Records and discovered in the hit show "The X Factor" by Simon Cowell. Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson makes the British-Irish young sweethearts.

Notorious for her bridal dresses,Vera Wang simply took a risk for her edgy, non-tradition fall line up. Our society and generation is definitely far from what people state "normal."  It is time the bridesmaid dresses became white and the bride to pop!  I think that is what Vera Wang sets to achieve in re-thinking wedding gowns.  Taking tradition lace and fabric into artsy and braver look.  Out with the white and in with the nude and black!  As Joy Behar states and i quote "No one is a virgin anymore.  So why play games, why pretend, just wear the black.  Those days are over!"  

Eyelash fanatic?  Although the trend started its mainstream appearance in 2008,  it is still the number one accessory women are indulging on.  Here are a few tips from experts!

ABDC Season 7 and J. Biebs

The superstars return when an all-new season of "America's Best Dance Crew" premieres Wed, April 11 @ 10/9c on MTV for its 7th Season.  All new with past crew winners!  There's also new groups from countries such as Australia, Mexico, and Japan.  I have not been following the show since Season 3 when my personal favorite, with the likes of Ryan Conferido, Hok, D-Trix, and Victor Kim Quest Crew took the crown. But this season seems promising and i'm excited to view the opening show!  Judges JC Chasez, Lil Mama, and D-Trix are back as the panel of judges.

MIB III and Music Mondays

If you're a big fan of the MIB series, you're in luck because MIB III releases on May 25, 2012.

And of course who snags the soundtrack song in the upcoming film, Pitbull!  His song "Back In Time" will be the chosen movie song.  What I love about Mr. 305's music is that no matter what song he releases, he always makes you wanna get up and dance. Pitbull not only created a rocking rendition but he also incorporated an oldie song/beat into the track, Mickey and Sylvia's "Love is Strange" from 1957 Billboard hits.  

For you Ryan Tedder fans, i got something for you!  We all know Ryan Tedder from MTV's winner who released his own song "The Look."  The record producer, singer-songwriter wrote tracks for artist like Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Hilary Duff, Far East Movement, Adam Lambert, Jordin Sparks, Leona Lewis, Gavin DeGraw, Demi Lovato, and Adele just to name a few. One Republic's front man is now premiering a song for the Broadway sensation "Smash" which is back on TV NBC tonight at 10/9c.  Ryan wrote Katherine McPhee song called "Touch Me."  Check it out! 

Kobie Boy Modeling the Washable Male Wrap

After my photo field session, I decided to practice on this lil guy as my subject. Kobie is a Pome/Chi mix.  He photographs well don't cha think?  What a lil ball of cuteness!  He just got a brand new haircut last week and got rid of his "lioness" look.

Only problem is they only come in one color but a great investment for you pup!

Low Cal Flavor Boosters

I love Dr. Oz's health advice!  Who doesn't right?  He has his own platform panel of experts to deliver medical do and don't.  Better yet nutrition expertise to give the public "a better way of living."  Latest segment that caught my eye is the "Low Cal Flavor Boosters."

I for one love anything coconut.  So when this product So Delicious Dairy Free Coconut creamer came about on his topic, I was sold!  With only 20 calories per 1tbsp (15ml) and not to mention gluten-free, vegan, kosher, non-GMO, it was worth a try.  I went on a hunt here in Irvine, CA.  Went to Target and Ralphs but they do not seem to carry this product.  The only other option is Whole Foods.

Since i wasn't able to locate the product, I decided to try Silk Hazelnut Creamer.  Dairy free Lactose free.

At $2.99 for one pint at Ralphs, it was a great substitute for creamer.  With 20 calories per 1 tbsp (15ml) 3g carbs 3g sugar.  1g less from So Delicious!  Great Hazelnut taste!

Last but not least.  For the sugar free conscious.  Coffee-Mate Hazelnut Sugar Free creamer.  

With 15 calories for 1 tbsp (15ml) and 2g carbs 0 sugar, this may be the winner for you.  Yes it does say 0g of sugar but read carefully on the ingredient list.  Corn Syrup solids, yikes!  The product does have great hazelnut flavor and taste.  

So keep in mind i've tried the last 2 products but have yet to hunt for the So Delicious coconut creamer.  Till then i'll keep you posted on great finds.

The Hunger Games

The most anticipated buzz movie of 2012 is finally here, The Hunger Games!  The 3 part series book by Suzanne Collins caught the eyes of millions.  I personally did not get a chance to read the book in advance or skimmed through the synopsis.  Therefore, I was unaware of what the series entailed.  As you know the Twilight Saga is coming to an end this year.  Perhaps,  The Hunger Games is the new "obsession" to follow.  


Was there a line designated prior to entering the theater you might ask? Why yes, indeed there was!  With over 86% on the tomato meter ratings via Rotten Tomatoes, the movie needed its own line to delegate traffic flow.  Action packed with story lines of sisterhood, family, survival, media, and a lil love story. Plan ahead or just wait till next week, that is if you can wait that long! It definitely was worth watching!
